It's here! I can't believe it! Everyone's last day of grade three. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. I have loved teaching these kids this year. We have done so much together. To start our day, we performed our Reader's Theatre for the first grade class. We learned about folktales and fairy tales in our last UOI of the year. Students were in 2 groups, and performed different fairy tales. One group performed The Bremen Town Musicians, and the other performed The Fisherman and His Wife. They did a great job. It was entertaining to watch. We then played our favorite Word Work game - Jeopardy! Students have loved trying to guess the words based on their definition all year. It was great team building and completely run by the students. Next, we had our Grade 3 Awards!! This is one of my favorite things to do at the end of the year. The students were as excited as me, which is wonderful. Below are who won each award: Ms. Caring Award -- Paulina. Paulina has been so loving all year to all of her classmates. If someone was upset, she did her best to comfort them and make them feel better. Stick To It Award -- Mathys. Mathys has worked hard all year. He never gave up, even when things were hard! Amazing Artist Award -- Nilesh. Nilesh is a wonderful artist. Whenever he had an art project, he always put in the extra time and effort to make it look amazing. Mathlete Award -- Shreyans. Shreyans always worked hard in Math and understood concepts quickly. He could not wait to complete his independent work. Writing Wizard Award -- Teo. Teo's writing was very creative. He used his great sense of humor in his stories. They were always entertaining to read! Friendly Neighbor Award -- Timmy. Timmy is a kind boy, who is helpful to all around him. You can always count on him and his caring personality. All Around All-Star Award-- Yanga. Yanga has been an all-star in all areas this year. He works hard and never had to be reminded to continue with his work. He loved getting it done as quickly as possible. Never a Dull Moment Award -- Sunshine. Sunshine got this award because there truly is never a dull moment when she is in class. She brought lots of energy to class with her each day. Guiding Light Award -- Jacob. Jacob is a leader in the classroom. He is always positive and willing to help others in need. Future Scientist Award -- Aidan. Aidan loves science and loves to share what he knows about science with others. I can easily see him growing up to be a scientist! Always Smiling Award -- Kenza. Kenza always comes to class with a smile on her face. She always has a postive attitude and can be seen giggling and laughing with her friends all the time. Wonderful Worker Award -- Adriana. Throughout the year Adriana has always worked hard and always tried her best. She has done great this year! Everyone had their 'Last Day of Third Grade' picture taken as well. Print outs were sent home, but please look back to the first blog post of the year to compare how much everyone has grown since the beginning of the year. Everyone enjoy your well-deserved break! See you all again in August.
